Some social factors and entrepreneurship: A field study on women entrepreneurs in the city of Tobruk

This study aims to identify the current situation and the factors that have helped women establish their businesses in Tobruk, determine the types of businesses, clarify the most important pillars for the advancement of small businesses, and explain the obstacles facing small businesses. The study began with several questions, including: What is the current situation and what factors have helped women establish their businesses in Tobruk? And what type of businesses are these? What are the business opportunities? What are the most important pillars for the advancement of small projects? What obstacles do small projects face? The study relied on the use of the descriptive analytical method, and fell under the framework of descriptive and analytical studies using the purposive sampling method, which amounted to (150) individuals.
The data collection tool used was a questionnaire form, which relied on the simple statistical method of tables (frequencies and percentages), and the following results were obtained:
1- It showed that there are a set of factors specific to working women and their families, and factors that help them to support and finance their project by a member of the community.
- She revealed that the most common type of small business undertaken by women in Tobruk is the production and sale of sweets and pastries.
- She explained that one of the most important pillars for the advancement of small businesses is how the business is conceived and marketed.
4- I concluded that there are a number of obstacles, including administrative, economic, marketing, and social obstacles.
