Abstract

This study examines the role Libya played in supporting Arab causes within international forums during the period 1954-1962, focusing on its political and popular support for the Algerian cause as a prominent example of Arab solidarity in the post-independence era. This Libyan support began early despite the country's recent independence and limited material resources; However, it was characterized by steadfastness in supporting the Algerian cause, and the study aims to try to reveal the historical aspect of foreign policy, this support and Libya’s relationship with these countries, and to try to highlight Libya’s political role before and after independence.
