Perceived Organizational Support and Its Relationship with Job Burnout: A Field Study on the Republic Bank – Zliten City Branch

The aim of this study is to discover the characteristics of the relationship between perceived organizational support and job burnout among employees at Jumhouriya Bank (Zliten City Branch).To collect data, this study employed a descriptive-analytical approach to achieve its objective by using a questionnaire from the study population of 26 employees. The study focused on job burnout in terms of its dimensions, namely emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased personal accomplishment. The results of the study revealed that that there is a satisfactory level of perceived ‘human’ organizational support, which led to a decrease in job burnout among employees at Jumhouriya Bank, since employees feel that the bank appreciates their efforts and their self-worth. The study also showed that there is a level of physical and emotional fatigue among employees at the end of the working day, in addition to a high level of personal accomplishment. The study concluded that organizational support is the strongest predictor of increasing employees’ psychological resilience.
