Abstract

This study aim to introduce the concept of character ,which is considered one of the most important components of narrative work, through the classification of characters in the novel Lafia by the Libyan writer Ali Abdel Muttalib Al Huni as model .The study seeks to understand how the writer was able to achieve harmony and consistency among the various elements of the narrative structure within the novel .Therefore, it was necessary for the researcher to adopt the descriptive analytical method based on a close reading of the text in order to understand and investigate aspects related to narrative techniques, and to highlight the most significant features and characteristics included in the text of the novel through presenting analyses of the characters in the narrative.
