This study aims to investigate the syntactic structures in the poetry of Aboul-Qacem Echebbi by applying Noam Chomsky’s Generative-Transformational Theory. The research focuses on analyzing the phenomena of ellipsis—including the deletion of the subject and the object—and word order variations, demonstrating how sentences shift from the abstract deep structure to the manifested surface structure. By combining modern linguistic analysis with Arabic poetic heritage, the paper explores the cognitive and creative dimensions of Echebbi's style. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to examine selected poetic models, highlighting the explanatory power of generative grammar in unveiling the semantic and structural nuances of literary texts. The findings reveal that Chomsky's analytical model significantly expands structural description to incorporate both linguistic competence and performance, bridging the gap between formal description and mental processing.
