This study examined the media coverage of cybersecurity issues and digital breaches on Facebook through a content analysis of the “Al-Hadath Al-Libya” page. The study aimed to identify the nature of the cybersecurity issues and digital threats addressed, the targeted entities, and the patterns of media treatment. The study employed the content analysis method to analyze a sample of 23 posts, using analytical categories covering the main issue, type of threat, targeted entity, nature of treatment, purpose, direction, and form of content. The findings revealed a diversity of issues, including cyberattacks and data breaches, phishing and digital fraud, identity theft, digital misinformation, cybercrime, international cooperation, capacity building, and digital infrastructure. The coverage was predominantly characterized by direct news reporting and a warning-oriented approach, while also highlighting institutional efforts to confront cyber threats and strengthen cybersecurity. The study concluded that the page presents cybersecurity as a security, economic, institutional, and societal issue, while highlighting the need for more practical guidance and direct public awareness on preventing digital risks and protecting personal data and accounts.
